I tried it for a couple of months for my knees (years of squatting has taken its toll) and didn't notice any difference. I've read that you need the CBD oil with THC to get any real benefit. Would have tried it but can't afford to lose my clearance if I'm ever drug tested.

My wife tried it on the recommendation of her doctor for endometriosis pain. It did nothing. That crap is not the miracle cure that it's proponents say it is. I think if it does work it is likely more of a placebo than an actual pain aid. Perhaps the stuff with actual THC would help but she does not want to sit around loaded all day like many of the "medical marijuana" users she knows. I know a few myself. Sitting on welfare smoking medical marijuana due to a disability such as carpal tunnel, depression, anxiety issues, laziness, etc.

Don't buy just the plain oil, tastes awful. Some places have creams with CBD in it, wife says it helps her back.

I do. Mainly for sleep (or lack of) issues. Have not seen a huge difference in that but at least when I am wide awake for 3-4 hours a night now I seem more at peace doing so and not tossing and turning every 5 minutes and getting elbowed the way I used to. Maybe it is all in my head but will take that over the alternative any day of the week. And my wife would agree.
Will keep going with it for now, snake oil or not.

I have known two separate people who had terminal cancer that used the good/real stuff from Colorado. I don’t think that it’s the miracle drug that some people claim it to be, but I personally saw it benefit both of these ladies. I think that it would have been even more beneficial if it had not been so taboo, because they didn’t use it until the end. It appeared to me that they were more mentally competent when they used it as opposed to the prescription narcotics. They also had an appetite that they had been missing before taking it. I feel like both of them could have fought the cancer longer/better if they had started with it earlier. I don’t know if it’s the same way for everyone, but both had little appetite while on OxyContin. The oil smells terrible, but I would definitely prefer it over prescriptions if I were diagnosed with something similar. I think that it’s terrible that you can’t buy it legally except for a few states, especially for medicinal purposes. I don’t get what’s so different about it vs alcohol and/or tobacco. I have no personal desire to use it, but I don’t see any reason to make it criminal. Regulate and tax it, and make it a misdemeanor with heavy fines for not following the law just like alcohol and tobacco.

CBD oil without THC (the high inducing drug in marijuana) is legal here in Indiana. It sounds like you might be talking about CBD with THC, which would be like mj used for medicinal purposes. Marijuana used for medicinal purposes is legal in some states but not here. I'm only asking about CBD without THC. Is that what you're referring to?

Von, ensure its good oil. Its America so everyone wants to capitalize on a trend, so lots of garbage out there. Stick with Charlotte's or CV Labs. Someday it will be more regulated, so better for consumers. And am I SPECIFICALLY referring to CBD compunds, not hallucinogens.

In pill form ,they should have at least 15Mg in them. 5 mg wont do a thing. So check your labels and go with a reputable brand. I found Charlottes a few years back when a family member wanted to try CBD for anxiety. A very good brand, as is CV labs.

Myself and clients are shareholders in Charlottes Web, as a matter of disclosure. www.cwhemp.com

Placebo or not, it works for too many people to ignore. It is subtle, not like a pain pill. A professional bass player I know uses the balm, as do a few pro hockey players. To call it snake oil or a "miracle cure" is sort of childish; it works with subtle effect. And again, be sure you use the right brands, as many are garbage.

An interesting note I've uncovered in my research.....in a short time there will be no such thing as "medical marijuana". The cannabinoid, both CBD and THC are quite easy to synthesize. So we wont be growing weed for medicine kids. It will be pharma grade and synthesized in labs.

Growing HEMP, on the other had has alot of side benefits. I was briefed by someone who would have been a 7th gen hemp farmer in MN once. Great crop with many uses.

California is the place for the "good stuff" Bill. Yanks and Canucks way ahead of europeans. My favorite is a sativa laced cinnamon-flavored breath spray avail in CA. But, with edibles, you can essentially be "high" all the time. I don't drink bourbon day and night, so pretty sure getting high 24/7 is identical. They make it too easy. with edibles.

BTW, for sleeplessness, crossing over into the THC world may help. I bought some "Midnite" brand chocolates for a family insomniac while in CO. They say they work. I tried one late one Sat afternoon once my chores were done....and fell asleep during a NFL playoff game,,, so too well I may add.

A few months ago I returned from Vegas with my wife with some edibles for my mother in law. Stage 4 breast cancer, kidneys long gone, heart barely pumping. I asked her a simple question. Dark chocolate, or milk. I gave her a 25mg square and came back twenty minutes later. I asked her if she was feeling it. She said, and I quote. "Not feeling anything. Not my feet, my legs, my arms, or any pain.

Point? You might need the THC to help out the CBD in some cases.

We lost her this past Saturday.

Just be aware...
CBD quality varies greatly and someone in a field requiring random drug testing could trigger a positive result.

My condolences to you and yours as well . I have 2 of my best friends battling cancer as we speak . F**K CANCER !!!!

I think there is better ways to treat cancer then the normal ways but I'm to stupid to be the one to pioneer that . I do know that both of my friends greatly benefit from using CBD's with THC as they go though this journey . Both of their doctors have even mentioned it to them as being beneficial. From help sleeping to an increasing appetite it has been very beneficial. Placebo maybe but who knows if it helps I encourage it. I really want to try some for my shoulder pain but have not got around to it yet . Might be time to pick up some of the Charlottes Web stuff and give it a whirl . I know one thing Ive never heard of anyone overdosing on CBD or pot for that matter . Hell I even tried a few times as a kid .lol.

My arthritis pain is best kept at bay by not eating gluten. And its free, and non-pharma!

BTW, if anyone wants to read research on the CBD market you can sign up to get it here: https://www.brightfieldgroup.com/library/understanding-cbd-report

or hit up my webpage and click the link on lower right. Home

'72BU, my rt shoulder pain was/is a screwed up bicep tendon. Only physical therapy helps for sure. And here I thought I needed some sort of rotator cuff surgery. Naw. Anyway, dont discount a good kinesiologist. ( PHd in phys Therapy).
