I have a bone stock 1995 LT1 with aluminum heads in my 1965 Sportwagon. It has a 2004r and 3.08 gears. It has a 600 Edelbrock that needs replacing. Would it be safe to install a 500 cfm Edelbrock for better mileage? Art

Sure i guess but it gets to the point where you have to give up some power when you do that.
If it was me I would replace it with a Quadrajet if you want so more mileage.
The Quadrajet would have better fuel mileage and more power than either carb.

Thanks, I had considered that. Seems that Q-jets always got a bad rap.
