My '85 Toyota Celica GTS is missing and jerks while running. I thought my wires might be arcing so I changed those and installed new plugs. Nothing. It starts fine but as running down the street has what feels like hesitations that cause jerking. The motor will also slow to a crawl for a few seconds then all of a sudden pick up speed and take off again. What could be causing it?

Fuel filter needs changed, or throttle body needs cleaned.

Does it have coil packs if it does I would say that.
