after many trys with used carburators I broke down and bought a new street avenger for my 70. It came yesturday and I was looking at it and I am thinking that I will put it in this weekend..... WRONG. I was so excited I had to start wrenching last night. All that is left is the duel feed fuel line that I had overnighted for Adance Auto.

Gonna crank her up tonight if all goes well.... can't wait!!

I know exactly what you mean! I was out there at 5:45 this morning before work swapping carbs.
I,too, have gone 'round and 'round with rebuilt carbs, kits, etc. and have kicked around saving up for a new one. Post back with what you're changing from and then let us know how the new one runs. You might just push me over the fence!

UPDATE ALERT

Put everything on, Started right up.................
fuel spilling everywhere OH CRAP!!!!

shut her down, I checked around and looks like I did not have on of the fuel lines seated in the carb right, fixed it fired it right back up. Everything checked out. did some minor tuning and off I went. The car pulls ALOT harder than it did and now she idles nice and no backfires... well worth the cash
i will be spending a few days trying to fine tune it but it already has shown to be a wize investment
