Hi guys, picked up this 68 chevelle malibu with a 70 chevelle 350 in it according to the block stamp.

I am trying to identify this trans, not sure if they left the original 68 trans in it or not. I found a stamp on the housing on the passenger side and that was the only numbers i saw when i crawled under..

it says 10C135664 i believe. almost positive thats what it read when i was under there, i kno the pic is hard to see.

Are you trying to figure out if its a Powerglide or TH350? If its a 'Glide, its going to have a square pan. If it's a TH350, count 13 pan bolts, and the pan is mostly square, but has one corner cut off.

what is the difference between the th350 and th400 then when looking at it?
