I got these from the trunk of my 1970 SS 396 Chevelle. I've always assumed they were for that car but someone pointed out to me that they are different than the front bumper guards the 70 Chevelle came with.

Anyone know where they could be from?

They look like they are for a '73 on up car with a 5mph bumper, hard to tell anything beyond that. Not for any pre '72 I've ever seen.

I uploaded better pics. These were on my 70 so I'm guessing they added them. They are huge and would probably look ugly on a car.

If they fit your bumper, they were probably made for your car. They may not be the same as assembly line production parts however, since GM made LARGER (read ugly) that were sold to be installed as aftermarket parts but were made to fit specific cars. Like I said earlier, if they fit your bumper, they were probably made for that year and model car.

I could be mistaken, but they look like they're from a 1978-79 Ford pickup.
