Try finding any 1969 Camaro convertible roller (I don't care how rusty) cheaper than that and I will take them all day... $5,000 is about going rate for a 1969 vert basket case these days.

that car wouldn't last till the end of the day in socal. i'm not a fan of that type of project, but reality is, that is more than a desirable car, a guy with any type of talent, would be all over that car, especially with all the new tin available now a days....

Absolutely correct. I sold my basket case '69 Camaro 6 cylinder coupe for $2500 and the only piece of metal the guy reused was the roof!

If you re-body it, you still have to bolt up your subframes, don't you? If they're bad, you're out of luck. I don't think a restoration is out of the question though. I've seen worse come back. I think the price it a little high though.

How much for restoring something like this I wonder?
That all depends on the level you want and how much of the work you can do.
$40K-$50K with body and paint and you do the rest of the work.

I bought 6 raffle tickets for a 69 Convertable SS Camaro that is being (raffled duh) on October 3rd from Hot August Nights. Was a SBC Auto car, but who cares.

Maybe the gods will be shining on me and I might win something for once.

I won a million dollars in a lottery once, but I did not have the extra 500 dollars to send them at the time so they could send me my winnings

Met a guy at a show this year with a 69 Camaro. It was rebody job. He told me he had $138,000.00 Canadian into it.

It was very nice but 138k ouch!!
I bought a 69 RS 350/M-21 with a decent body, crappy velvet interior, new rubber, 15x7 Ralley wheels for $7000 last month. I already started disassembling for resto, but it runs and drives great. Bondo in 1/4s, perfect floors (shiny original paint on floors!), perfect trunk.I don't think i will have quite $138,000 into it when I am done.LOL. $138,000? That is insane. Why not just go buy a numbers big block car that has been done or better yet, an original. More money than brains I guess.

If that 69 conv was local I'd probably go to check it out...

Yeah it's rough, but it's still a 69 camaro convertible.
