I have a 408 with 215 heads and a Lunati 402A3 solid cam with matching valve springs, 586/600 243/[email protected]. The lash is 26/30. Would it hurt to go a couple of thousands tighter on the lash?

For UDHarolds cam he says that I can go 6 thou tighter but that is for a tight lash cam.

.006"-.008" on any cam lashed .020"-.035" usually, you can go .004" looser

Any tight lash {.012"-.014" suggested on cam card} cam you dont go any more than .002" tighter and dont go looser at all

Like Butch said. Always better to go tighter then looser. Valve springs HATE loose
