I recently upgraded from a 20 gig hard drive in my sons desktop to a 250 gig hard drive. I reinstalled the OS on the 250 gig hard drive(master) and set the 20 gig to slave. Can I delete the "windows" folder on the 20 gig to free up some space? I reinstalled the programs(microsoft office, etc... leaving them on the slave drive. TIA Pete

Not sure if the "windows" folder isn't still used for the "microsoft office, etc...".
Try unplugging the 20 gig drive and see if it effects the rest of the system.

yes, you can delete the folder.

By default all programs are installed to driveletter:\program files

If you reinstalled the OS and applications, the old windows folder can be deleted.
