I am assuming you mean 108 & intake lobe center?
How are you finding TDC?
What timing set do you have?
What are you doing with the engine?
What is the compression?
103 would be 5° advanced & most likely fine for most applications

ya i meant 108, with a summit cam degreeing kit, as for engine atk 383 short block procomp heads 64 cc chambers 190 runners 202int, 160 exh, about 10.9.1 comp when its done, i havent built an engine in over 25yrs so im out of whack, got a 67 el camino so here i am, so running it at 103 lobe center will work ok...

If you are getting 203 you are doing something wrong you need to start at square one & figure out what it is you are screwing up here ;)
If it is 103 it should be ok
If you have a 3 key crank sprocket you could retard it 4° & be pretty much where Isky suggested assuming 103 now

Have you guys found that the isky megacams like to be run "straight up"? I know that's what the cam card says, but it seems like most people advocate installing almost every SBC cam known to man 4 deg advanced.

Mike: I think you said you run isky stuff a lot - do you put them at 104, or 108?
