Hey guys, my pro street 69 chevelle has the original ? Marina blue? Or very similar to it now. Looking to put a deeper and richer looking blue on her. Looking for some pics and paint codes to help me decide. Again never going to be a number matching car so even if the blues are not ( chevy ). Thanks guys and no offence to any of the other colored chevelles on here, just want blue this time around, frank

Frank, it likely has faded Lemans blue (code 71)...perhaps you would like dusk blue...a stock 69 color that is relatively dark...or 66 Danube blue...just hit the local paint supply and see what you find in a modern midnight blue....metallic, non metallic...it could go on and on !

Here's my '70... With new paint...

I am not totally sure of the color...

It's supposed to be 2001-2005 Mini Cooper "Electric Blue", but that color should be a little lighter than it is... In the pictures (compared with "internet" Mini Cooper pictures), it looks close, but in the sun, several people have said that its darker than the "Mini" color... I have yet to get the car close to an actual Mini to compare and take photos...

My '66 convertible was '94 GMC Medium Quasar Blue Metallic... Very close to Marina Blue (my '66 hardtop is marina Blue, and the colors were close with the fenders removed (original un-faded cowl paint)...

Right now the bridgehampton blue is the shade i am looking towards. Went on line and put in 2002 lexus blue ( special order ) and the color is on a ford cobra and looks good, but i think the vehicle makes it a winner or not. Again my opinion. Thanks for all the replies and keep them coming, frank

My original intent was to go Blue on my '69. Spoke to some dupont guys at the Year One Experiance in Georgia years ago and ran across an awesome blue in their Hot Hues line. It was reminiscant of an early muscle car blue but much deeper and a bit darker. Dupont dude even told me that that was the intent of that particular color. I carried the paint chip around for years and honestly probably tossed it a while back or I'd forward the paint code on, sorry.

Georgeous car. Forgot to mention that i wanted the stripes going along the sides from front to back. I know they sell the stripe kit, but was wondering how much it would cost to have them painted on while the car is being painted already. ??$500 or so

'Blue by you' rings a strong bell. 95% sure thats it.

Just found this page. I remember it a tiny bit darker than the pictures, but it'll at least give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Wow. Appreciate you finding the info. I can see my car with that color. Probably would cost as much as some of the red paint to buy if not more, but i always said ( you will not see an armored car following me to the grave.) need to do some price checking tomorrow. Will let you know how i do. Thanks frank
