I am showing my paranoid side, but......... Assuming a large percentage of the repro parts are made in Taiwan (yes/no/maybe) what happens when mainland China starts lobbing bombs over there? My guess is scarce parts and prices outa sight! Get em while you can! Anybody know for sure the source countries for all the stuff in the catalogs?

Can't comment on chevell parts as I haven't bought that many, but in the Camaro realm many parts are being made here. Classic camaro adds to their list all the time, parts that they are makeing in house. Also the vett realm makes most parts here at home.
Dont worry about China, this country will never take a round on it's soil from the outside. Be much more concerned with what is going on from within.

This is freaky, but I bought some rubber mouldings that go on my rear windows to seal against the fronts. In the fold of the rubber there is a "CCCP". For those of you not having had the pleasure of f*%$#@! with Soviet communists, that translates into USSR.And now I hear China. Isn't that ironic? But remember Taiwan are the good guys!

Two things, lobbing any sort of "real" bombs will totally screw up the West Coast and, on a more positive note, never underestimate American ingenuity. I'm sure someone stateside will pick up the slack.

HEY GENE! PAY ATTENTION! The "CCCP" you are refering to is a part manufactured by a company called California Classic Chevy Parts. They are located in San Martin, CA and make high quality parts, most of which are marked with their company initials. The phone number is 408-683-2531 in case you feel like apologizing for jumping to conclusions.

Well now that makes more sense!Duh.

Applogize to whom, those communists? I didn't complain about the part, its OK. Now I'll put the other one on, I feel better. CCCP, go figure. At least one of them is still in biz. The right one.

I would have thought the same as Gene. CCCP is the old Soviet Union. Why would an American company use that to name their company or identify their parts ?? They must have not read any newspapers in the last 80 years.
