Brian: It all depends upon condition. If they are good enough to be reused without any work needing done then maybe $450.00/$500.00. However if there are some issues such as a broken spring/ worn covers/etc then price goes down. Average seats would be $300.00/$350.00. Seats that need some love are $200.00/$250.00

I get $400 - $600 for a decent set of cores that usually need covers.

It dont take long to spend a bunch on buckets. I bought a set for $300.00 but by the time they were ready to go into the car i had about $1200.00 into them. They didnt look that bad when i got them but i found out they needed new springs and everything else after i tore them apart. If you can find a good set for $500-$600 i would buy them.

I'm not saying you don't get that, I'm sure you do but that is high for a set that needs covers. If they need covers there is a strong likelyhood that they need buns as well. If they need covers and buns you might as well clean all the surface rust off them and paint them as well. Then unless they were gently used some of the other stuff doesn't look top notch. It's the snowball effect and before you know it you've got over 1K in them.

I think $300 -$350 is giving away money.
It's not a high price if people commit to buying them and the seats sell fairly quick. The market sets the price. I haven't had to lower my price to get rid of a set of seats.

its got to be a location thing, Ive had a set of seats posted here and on the local craigslist. Seats with new covers in the bag, mounting brackets, headrests and headrest covers for $400 and havent gotten a single call.
Ive found them as cheap as 60 bucks a pair and Ive paid as much as $250 when I needed a set of cores for my car. jim

I will dig them out today and post pics......they are all original from my 72 which only had 135,000 on it when I removed them.
I put the bucket seats from my Chevelle in the Elco which I pulled from a 90 Firebird in a junk yard back in 92. I had them recovered in black vinyl. I want to upgrade to aftermarket buckets in the Chevelle. Looks like it will be a bit cheaper and easier then to fix up the ones I have.
