Hello,

Im sure someone can help me. Im going to the wrecking yard to find a master cylinder and booster for my newly aquired disc brakes. Can I take these from any GM? What will interchange? The brakes are off of a 72 LeMans. Thanks

Im not so sure i would be going to a wrecking yard for your master cylinder i would rather buy a POS autozone one then buy one in a wrecking yard but i believe any brake booster will work as long as the car has disc brakes. I know a guy that owns a wrecking yard and i don't take master cylinders from his yard to much at risk.

Buy a new master cyl. they're inexpensive. A wrecking yard clerk will probalbly tell you the same. Buy a distribution block and master cyl for the 72 LeMans.
Because the pressure requirments are different when converting from drum/drum to disc/drum, these items will need to be changed.
