Hello all, newb to this forum. Also newb to the restoration process. For my first foray into this realm, I bought a cheap and very run down '70 GTO with no drive train. Since it's practically identical to the Chevelle, I thought I'd post my questions here. I posted on a GTO forum but got no real assistance. Before you ask, the car was stripped of virtually everything when I bought it so I didn't have any (at least, not much) reference during teardown. Brake lines were cut/gone, virtually devoid of wiring, brackets missing, etc...

Upgrades: The Right Stuff 4 wheel disc with Stainless line kit; Ridetech upper/lower A-arms, trailing arms and sway bars; Hotchkis steering component upgrade kit.

I've a couple issues. First, the Right Stuff provided dust guards for the front rub on the rotors badly so I simply removed them. I believe it's due to my using the Ridetech drop spindles vice the Right Stuff ones. The car is to be a resto-mod / fair weather only car so is it ok to leave them off or do I need to find/fabricate/mod those for a solution?

Second, I'm in need of some pics of the brake line routing. For example, does the rear to front line go internal to the frame rail (as in pic) or clip to the inside where the crossmember mounts?

Lastly, if you look at the pic of the prop valve, you'll see a mess when it comes to the lines. It appears I wasn't supposed to mount the prop valve in the traditional spot on the frame rail??? Or, are the lines just the wrong ones?

Assistance greatly appreciated!!

Not a real problem. I don't have any dust guard on my bike disc brakes and it still brakes correctly, even in rainy weather.

Ask and you shall receive:

And the best for last (From a '69 chassis service manual, A-body - not sure which one - see this website for more info):

Todd, regarding the prop valve lines to the boosted MC and front discs - I purchased a kit from True Connections that is a perfect fit. Not sure of their source or manufacturer but it's probably available thru other suppliers as well.
