I have a friend with a 66 single master cyclinder, drum front and rear.
I have a 72 donor car dual master, drum front and rear.
Can I take the master and porportioning valve from the 72 and use it on the 66?
Thanks, I know this is the right place to get the right answer,
Ron

Well, after bending and adding new lines and using a few adaptor fitting we got the master cylinder on the car.
Problem now is that the old power booster rod is to long for the master. Pushes the master like the brakes are applied all the time.
Any thoughts on how to fix that problem?
Thanks again,
Ron

I am putting 72 discs on a 66 Elky
Used 67 brake line set, 72 booster, discs, spindles

Ordered a 67 power disc master-----my problem is just the opposite
The 67 master (one year only) has a deep bore piston where the 72 is a shallow bore.

I just ordered a pin set for the booster from CPP (a sponser here) and also they have a bushing to insert into the deep bore masters to make them work on shallow bore boosters.

The guy at CPP told me that the pin in the booster should pull right out and replace it with the right pin

Another option would be to use a manual brake master---but this could make the brakes a bit touchy as the smaller bore of the manual will increase the level of pressure in the lines.
