Hey guys my new bb has tall covers and 10" of vacume will a 7" dual booster clear the covers and work as it should. There is a guy on ebay selling boosters for decent prices i was looking at. I know some of the companys say you need more than 10" but i have heard of guys who have no problem with that amount of vacume. Any thoughts? Ralph

I have been running a 7" dual from a '79 El Camino that seems to work just fine until vacuum drops to 7" or less. Then it is all gone. Which means that, especially when cold, I have to be ready for unboosted brakes when idling in and out of parking spaces at very low RPMs. Keep it at normal idle or above and I have no problem with an engine running at 8" at idle.

I adapted it... pretty much as documented elsewhere on the net.

Cut off the old booster brackets and bolted them onto the new booster with a little hole tweaking. Measure the old booster pushrod and cut the end off of both booster pushrods, then graft the old onto the new in the proper length.

Then just bolt it in :)
