this is not a chevell question but need some information.
working on a 59 chevy (road lococmotive)
does any one have any experience with bowtie transmissions? thiere th2oor overdrive tranny seems to be exactly what I want but not sure if a 200r could take the power. this car will be just a sreet crusier for my son. but stop lite to stop lite can be tough.this car will be running a 454,msd ignition, deamon carb, aluminum heads,aluminum intake with a mild cam.

I know there are people who beef up the 2004R tranny that will allow it to take the power, but i can't really recommend them. I got one once from Art Carr, but he sold his company and started another, so I don't know which company is which anymore.

thats kinda the where Im at. Ive heard of people doing it I just want to make sure its not hype and the real thing.reason for wanting the 200r is that now it has a 350 motor with a th350. I heard the 200r is a direct swap for the 350.
