I bought my first christmas cd today, i was shocked to see it out so early but it is by BOB DYLAN. i am a huge DYLAN fan and have everything he has ever released and never in my wildest dreams did i ever see DYLAN doing a christmas album, its for charity so that is cool. Its called Christmas In The Heart, its full of festive songs and carols and done 40s and 50s style . its different anyway, listened to it in the car coming home from work , man its a timewarp, like it .Liz and myself love DYLAN so it will get lots of use over the christmas.(along with the greatest and best christmas singer ever Dean Martin),, ps some of the shops here are advertising chrismas stuff , its way tooooooo early for decorations in windows.

Dylan is cool. Dean...man, what can you say - Classic and its the RAT PACK for goodness sakes. The epitome of cool in my book right there. I think that if I had a wish and I could do it I would opt to go back in time and just roll with those guys. Humor, class, talent, love of alcohol and women...:beers:

I have to ask this and only because every time I in in providence or boston I tend to hit the bar where I ineveitably run into tons of Irish folks (because I think they live there :D) and for some reason or another I always see a Johnny Cash shirt and conversation seems to find Cash fans visiting from Ireland.

Is Cash big there or what? I am a huge Cash fan but find it weird that I keep running into Irish tourists in Cash tshirts.

This year I saw shops pullin gout Hallpoween AND Christmas decorations at the same time. Sheesh.

Like Dylan too...
Can ya sing along or is he slurring in his new Christmas album?
Saw him a couple of times...concerts.....and I could barely understood a word he said....???....party animal?
His studio performances were usually much better....along with a few classics that are timeless.
Gonna get me one of those CD's.
Merry Christmas

CASH would have a big following here in ireland, i have about 40 of his albums, loved the rick rubin stuff and some of cashs early stuff esp the sun years. i think big river from the 50s is one of the best tracks from that period.
i have about 3500 cds which include just about everybody from bowie , dylan cash, springsteen, roxy music, stevie ray vaughan, a huge variety of artists and styles.:D

I heard some of that CD this morning and all I could think was "people are actually expected to BUY this??"

Good for you if you like it and all, but it sure wasn't my cup of tea.

dylan was never a great singer , his delivery of a story is brilliant, its different but for charity so its in the collection, seen him a few times and what puzzles me is why he changes the tune when live, ive never got that bit.:D
