i bought the locker and im going to install it tonight and i need to know what flavor of oil is good to use in the rear and what all im going to need ie gaskets ect because i have this one night to put it in and get it all done other wise it will be a few weeks before i get to it any info would help alot thanks

regular 80w-90

and a diff cover gasket should do it unless your axle seals are leaking

THICK grease to hold the drivers together while assembling

check the clearence between the halfs while assembled (do a search on here for the specs, it was discussed awhile ago)

I don't know if you read the instructions but supposedly some of the rear ends do not have hardened crosspins in them, I dont know if this is a chevy/ford/mopar thing. my 12 bolt had a hardened pin in it, but it says if it isnt, then the lockrite will wipe it out, and cause premature failure. Just a heads up. Jim
