I bought a 70 elco today from a guy thats moving to florida for $3400.00 Ps and pdb, no ac. 350 with a 350 trans. Buckets and SS trim. Runs and drives good. Clear maryland title. I had the seller drive it to my work so i can inspect it on the lift. Good floors, no patch work. Solid frame, me and a co-worker could'nt find any cracks. A couple of the rubber body bushing are gone but the body mounts are intact, not rusted. The bed floor is real nice. 1 header is cracked by the collector, sounds like s**t! Exterior/interior lights ,horn, wipers, gauges, radio all work. Good driver quality. Wife was'nt to happy but at that price i could'nt pass it up lol!

My wifes 17 year old son just got his license and took over my camry, so i told her i bought it for my daily driver to replace my camry. Your right Louey, about an hour ago she mentioned she wants to go on a cruise this fall!

Thanks, the car does have 2 surface rust spots on the body, 1 you can see in the 3rd pic above the rear glass towards the drivers side [paint chip] and 1 on the bottom corner of the drivers door. And a couple dings here and there, but it is solid. Inside of the bed is really nice, maybe because of the tonuue cover, but i wish the cover did'nt overlap onto the quarters. Appears solid around the rear glass. Now i need to replace the headers and find 2 15x8 rallies for the rear. I think for little $$$ i got a nice little cruiser, unlike all the $$$ i got in my 68 velle! Its funny, i spent exactly the same amount for this running/driving car that i spent on my 18" Rushforth wheels/nitto tires for my 68! Lol!!!

Gary, i pm'ed you, keep a eye out for 2 15x8 vette rallies for me. The wife gave me the ok to order my hooker headers, because right now it sounds like s**t, kinda embarrising to drive. I'll swing it by one night soon. Thanks.

That's funny...........bought the El Camino with out consulting the wife (I would have too) but has her permission to get headers........yup, that's probably the way it would work at my house, too..........

I told her i was gonna search craigslist for a nice used set of headers, but i'm having no luck, so she said to just order a new set. A friend gave me a set tonight, but after removing the damaged header i found that the freebies dont fit.
