im in the process of doing a 4 wheel disc upgrade, and i need to get the rear axles out to swap out the drums for discs. my axle does not have the c-clip type retainers, but rather is bolted to the housing. the drivers side slid out without issue, but i can not free the passenger side. i have "massaged" it with a hammer, then beat the hell out of it with a hammer lol, it just wont budge. any ideas?

Remove the brake drum, re-install it backwards, attach three lug nuts (just spin them on by six or so threads) and use the brake drum as a slide hammer.
