so we all know the poly body bushings don't come with metal inserts and you can't buy them anywhere. Do we really need the inserts any way? I can't see them flexing very much, as hard as the poly is.

This could solve a lot of heart ache.

Any thoughts?

I installed them without sleeves... body hasn't fallen off yet.

Throw away your rusty rubbers and forget about the metal inserts. Just buy poly body bushings and be done with it. Hurray:hurray: :beers:

i heard poly bushings are thicker than stock. im going to use hockey pucks with holes drilled in them.

If you want to feel all of the vibrations of the car and have it feel like you are in a truck, I would not use poly bushng for mounting the body. Especially if you used Poly bushing on the suspension.

I have all solid suspension bushings in my car, springs double the rate of the originals, and stiffer/shorter tire sidewalls as well.

Rides just fine.
