Guys tell me why the 15 amp fuse in the tail lamp slot in the fuse box keeps blowing after warming up my 66 el camino.I see there is a power supply wire coming from the horn relay , to the
fuse box to the acc. next to that fuse...help
If you don't have anything else plugged into the fuse block, chances are there's a short. Where it is I can't exactly answer. See the orange wire running over to the headlight switch? That's the tail light wire. That wire is also tied to other things if you look at the schematic.
Suggest, as a test, replacing the fuse with a light bulb and socket. Wiggle around wires and see if you can get the light to light up.
I had a simialr problem with tail lamp fuses blowing out. It turned out to be corroded fuse clips. The extra resistance caused the fuse and clips to make heat that killed the fuses. Check yours to see how hot it gets with the lights turned on.
