Just wondering if others are seeing a longer wait time to see a payment has been made on any of your accounts. Seems like either payments made by check or online are taking a lot longer to post to our accounts.

Due to covid don't cha' know. 🙄
That's what I figured too. I try and pay as much online now as I can but still end up writing about 10 checks a year and it takes forever for them to clear the bank. Even online payments made by credit card post to the card normally but seem to take a long time for the payment to reach the biller.

I think it is all due to the System that the Company has and / or like the Banks they Post it to their System 5 Days later

The Only exceptions to this is AMEX and Home Depot who send me a Email confirming
that I made a Payment to them thru My Bank Machine at the Local Bank Branch the Day After

I pay all my Bills thru the Bank Machine at My Local Branch
NO Online Banking ever , to easy for someone to Hack into
I only Write a Cheque maybe once a Year

Paper checks are no longer sent to the Fed for processing, they are imaged and uploaded to the fed, the actual check is shredded after a time it is held. Most imaging is done in a bank branch, if you are sending checks to a payment center the USPS could be a delay, sorting at the payment center and processing time. Many people are still WFH but checks cannot leave the payment center so they are being imaged and staff that is WFH is processing than submitting to the Fed.

Using online billpay from your bank eliminates the payment center step and is super secure. I use it for paying bills that require the bank to send a paper check, saves on postage and hassles mailing.

That's because somebody applied for it before you did. 🤓
That happened to one of our daughters last year, and she has still not gotten her refund.
