Crazy the aluminum didn’t melt completely on the condenser coils.
And the pressure relief valve should have popped on the tank.

Red acetylene tank is the approved color now? We always had black tanks for acetylene. Never knew it had changed.

Mine have always been silver. With a red hose on my torches. Black has been nitrogen.

It must depend on the supplier. Never seen a red one.

I've had both red & black but I use portable so maybe large tanks are different, I really hate when I cant see what Im typing on my phone but I'll post a pic of my van tanks in a min

No standard up here anyways. As a distributor exchanged 25-30 acetylene, oxygen, and nitrogen tanks a week to contractors. Saw all colours. All from the same gas supplier. That one must have made one heck of a bang. Glad no one was hurt.
