for the plastic mounting tabs on a 70-72 dash, which glue is the most compatable and strongest to bond broken raised mounting posts back on?

found some stuff in home depot or local hardware store.it was a 2 part mix in atube.unbeleivable,called plastic weld,,also gorilla glue i heard is great,good luck...

The plastic weld stuff is probably a type of epoxy, which would give you a very strong repair. Since its on the backside, you should be able to build up around the repair area without concern for how it looks.

FWIW, I've not had good luck with "Gorilla Glue".

I repaired one with a two part epoxy called PC-7. It's available at most Ace Hardware stores. PC-11 is the same thing, except for the color. -7 is black, and -11 is white.

Go to an auto body repair supply house.They have a product called Fusion. I believe it's for attaching body panels.We just repaired and strengthened a 70 dash with it. Very tough stuff, but expensive.
