The ACC carpet I got for my 70 was awful. First shipment had the jute bunched up and glued into a wad on one corner. The second carpet I was sent actually made it in the car. Fit was OK, but the loops are so far apart you can see the shiny backing.

I've heard from many other guys that their ACC sucked as well.

I would gladly pay 300 bucks for a good rug. I wish one of our fine resto manufactures would get a handle on this!!!

I bought mine for NPD. Don't know the manufacturer. I had it in a box for a few years. Then I put in for a week to settle. The only issue I had was behind the driver's seat in the far corner. It just took a little work is all. The rest settled in fine for me.

I got mine from Trim Parts. The fit is good everywhere except the driveshaft tunnel in the front. I had to custom cut padding to fit underneath so it wouldn't be a free-standing poof.

Ausleys had the best deal going on for the kit for me when I got it and it came with the sound deadeners and the sill plates that were practically free in the deal. The carpet is very nice and I'm very happy with it.

Note: some cutting required

Not picking on anyone here, but any carpet is only as good as the guy with the heat gun in his hand is:thumbsup:

Like most anything else, the more you work with it the better it will look. But I have NEVER had an ACC peice that didnt fit. And I am no Jim Brady, but I have done at least a hundred in the last 20 years and wouldn't not consider anything other than ACC unless it was free.
