Put a Chambered exhaust system on it..Aside from runnin open headers,nothing will sound as nice as that.You will surely get some tickets with your car depending on where you live.

By putting turndowns at the mufflers all the exhaust will be deflecting off the pavement and it will be very noisy in your passenger compartment. I would run full tails. Chambered is loud, and that's pretty much why it was a short lived option.

Tony,
I agree with the chambered. I have flow masters on the 69 that I own now. My old 69 had the chambered exhaust on it and it was the best sounding exhaust other than open headers that I've ever heard !

Tony,
The 69 SS I used to own had headers as well as chambered exhaust. I believe the headers were "Hooker". Don't remember any heavy modifications, but that was many moons ago !
