No pics of the undercarriage? Engine?

This is obviously a top dollar build. It looks really nice topside.

We have seen quite a few top quality Pro Touring style cars bring some big bucks at the BJ's and Mecom Auctoins as of late. Bidders seem to recognize quality.

But that price is a big number. It is not an "investment" car per say, it will take someone with deep pockets that just wants a really nice Chevelle.

Jackie,

I think you may have just looked through the pictures on the top rows that were available... there is a slider on those pics... or you can browse all the way to the bottom. Looks like there are at least a couple engine pictures and a bunch of pictures of the chassis all done up while the were in the midst of building it.

I think they were going for some sort of European look with that, Andy. At least here in California you see quite a few M series BMWs and whatnot with gray, white or black exteriors and red interiors.

Does it drive anyone else nuts to see air filters just hanging off the end of a tube like that? Super clean engine bay, but got to the air filter and said "Meh, just put it on the end of the pipe there, I'm out of money"

I'd have to question that? Maybe it's the pictures ... #4 looks like a horrible hood/fender/extension fit ... #5 looks like a poor quarter/trunk gap ... #6/7 doesn't even look the body lines go straight from the fender to door.

Is it just me (and the pictures) ... Or, do the body panels really line up that poorly?

For a top $$ street rod ... I think he'd have to finish up the heater core cover better, probably some more modern seats, leather upholstery, and some sort of higher end dash.

I'd still love to have 1/3 of this car ... but for the upper-$$ range, I don't think it makes it?
Thanks, Neal

I agree with some of the comments here.Looks like a nice car. I wouldn't give that $$ for it. But that is my opinion. I think that some of the options on the chassis are more "entry level Pro-Touring" for the asking price. But if someone buys it that is their choice.

Have to agree with you there Keith. For a car that is fishing out for close to $100k.. you would think there would be some sort of custom air filter solution on it.

I still really like the car.... maybe not for the price.. but it does show nice

decent car, but for the money I'd expect to see some high-end stuff on it.

cheap CPP suspension and American Racing wheels make it look like a $30k car.

For $100k I'd like to see DSE and Fikse.

I think you hit the nail on the head Derek. Most of the $100k cars have crazy custom suspension that wasn't purchased off the shelf. They also have wheels where one wheel cost more than most people's monthly mortgage note. It's still a nice car. Just probably a $30-50k nice car. My guess is they are fishing at the $100k price to see if someone will absolutely LOVE it and come in and offer $70k or something.

Of course... if you own this car and you're reading this.. I still like your car :D haha

This car may have passed for Pro Touring in 2005 but todays pro touring cars need to fit Dereks description if your going to expect that kind of money.

This is why I'm doing my car in the AmaTeuring style.

lol "regular" ?? just silly.

I don't see the asking price. It looks just like a regular Malibu....no wow factor at all.
