As much as I am partial to 66 SS. But 70's seem to be the one everyone wants.

I think the 66 and 67 are the best looking, but I suppose I have to admit that the 70 is king of the money market.

I am going to be very honest. The three best looking years in my opinion are 65/67/69. Not necessarily in that order. However I voted for 70 because it is the truth that it brings the most money. The reason for that IMO is because it is the year of the LS6. Even though very few of the 70's built were the LS6 it has benefitted the entire year. The other three years have it over the 70 as far as styling. I have heard some say that the 70 has the best styling but I don't see it. Different strokes for different folks.

I never understood the whole 70 thing. 4,500 cars were LS6's, I don't understand how that will translate to a 70 Malibu bringing money but it does. Obviously I am partial to 71's and 67's. Love the 71 for the taillights. Overall best looking and still brings strong money in my opinion is the 67's. I would say they are a close second to 70's in the money department

I'm a huge fan of the 65, but I know that the 70 routinely brings the higher price tag.

For me, the order of favorite to least favorite, based upon body style, is:

65 > 64 > 66 > 67 > 70 > 69 > 68 > 71 ~ 72

But I like them all and would be happy to have any one of them in my garage! :)

The 70, hands down! Now if the '69 was available and adverised through the mainstream with "yenko" type striping and a solid lifter 427, things that pop-up out of the hood, surely there wouldn't be 3 subsequent years of an inferior body style. :D

SS or SS clone = 1970
plain Malibu = 1966-1967

Nice quality 66-67s are quite expensive in any trim level.

The 70 only brings the big money if it's an SS or clone.
With a flat hood, sweep dash, and full Malibu trim, they just don't have the curb appeal to bring in the big bucks.

66 and 71 are my favorites, but the 70 is definitely the one that brings the most money. I actually searched for almost 2 years for a clean 71-SS before "settling" for my 70. Haha!

Dude! I thought you died!

Seriously though, the '70 is the one. I'm partial, but since no other year had the LS6 that's mostly why they are so popular. That being said, I do think the '70's are the best looking year for Chevelles. '67 is a very close second though.

The '66's are the best looking,by far. But it is the 1970 that most think of first, and with that, the higher price tag...Bob
