I just checked out Chevy High Performance april 99, big block head comparison, and they have a head #156 they state that it is used on late model Gen VI trucks. Is this the vortec head, if so it is a peanut port head with poor flow qualities. Just wondering the article does'nt state it is a vortec head.
BBC vortec heads
I am contemplating on which heads to buy for my next big block build up. Scoggin Dickey has advertised ; Vortec heads bare - (1) pair for $ 839. Are there any specs for these heads anywhere on the web? Chambers are 100cc. Would these be better than say open chamber oval port heads w/ big valves?
