Has anyone heard anything about the new line of summit racing cylinder heads for the BBC. They have 308cc rec intake runners, a 119cc chamber, 2.25 / 1.88 vavle,s 10 degree locks, exhaust ports raised .3, and they come complete for under $1300. Part number SUM-152125. Sounds to good to be true if ya ask me.

Not too bad...beats working over a set of old cast iron heads I guess. But for 1300.00, I think I'd rather come up w/another 300-400.00 and get a set of aluminums (like the Eddy's) and knock 75lbs off the fromt of my car and gain some compression (110cc vs. 119).

The raised ports may or may not be a problem (for me it would be a big problem).

I love the part where they say it costs "...less than it would cost to rebuild an old set of castings." $1300 to rebuild a pair of heads? On which planet?

I'd be willing to bet they are Pro Toplines, same with their new SBC heads.
