A friend just picked up a 68 396 bone stock. He wants to jack up the HP some but keep it pump gas friendly.... What do you guys suggest, stroke it ? (no blowers/super chargers/N2O)

What kits are out there... what CI could it go to ?

There is a 434 stroker kit for it by Speedomotive. You can see it HERE. Besides that, a killer solid ft cam swap, keep the dual plane intake and make it look stock with 3/4" taller cheater valve covers that you can get HERE.

Pull the original motor, and put a 496 in. Or 454, depending on what you're looking for.
