I have a performer rpm on my 468 and am currently using a 1" open spacer.I was wondering what everyone else is running and if they have dyno or time slip data to support there spacer choice. My motor is 9.5-1,Edelbrock aluminum ovals,3.31 gears 2600 rpm converter,27" tall tires,750 Demon carb, hydraulic flat tappet cam, used mostly for street.

Its hard to say without testing on a dyno or at the track, my old 454 liked a 1" 4 hole spacer, my current set up performed best with a 2" open spacer, but since I added the plate to it, I'm using a 1" open and 3/4" NX plate and have run a best of [email protected] with nothing flowing thru the plate :D The 4 hole spacer helps torque, the open spacer increases plenum size and helps top end, and some use both 1/2" open and 1/2" 4 hole. You'll just have to try it out yourself and see which works best for you, its not a one size fits all deal.
