I'm going to pput another battery in my El Camino. Could someone suggest something, I've not had much luck with Die Hard and the battery I'm replacing is an Interstate Battery. It may have some warranty left but with my luck I wouldn't count on it. I want to put as strong a battery as possible in it since the electric fans on the cooling system are coming this winter and I still have to check out the alternator to see if it will pull them. If it isn't obvious by now I'm not much of a mechanic but the battery I can handle for certain... with some guidence.

Thanx, Doug

I use Wal-mart batteries and love them. "Everstart" I think is the name? Just find one with the highest CCA rating. I think mine is around 900CCA. I haven't had a problem with it for the 10K miles I've had my big block running. PLain Jane starter too.

I do have a 90Amp alternator, and a MArkVIII fan as well as some stereo goodies.
