Check it! I read something about the build sheet being wrong but I dont see the one he said he found, might be a hoax.

Yeah,mine came with 6 build sheets or was it 16? I had to go through em till I found the one that matches.

Looks like the real deal to me. Look at the photobucket link to see pictures of the correct build sheet for the car. Wow, a one owner 70 SS396 4 speed convertible with documentation up the wazoo. Will take a mucho $$$$$ restoration, though.

Nothing jumps out on the buildsheet from the photobucket link but the seller is full of BS when quoting numbers of different models that were SS optioned. He also includes L6 convertibles...

1088 L34 350hp equipped convertibles left the factory.

X2. I'm Thinking there will be a mountain of steel work. Even if the frame is replaced. That looks almost as bad as the 68 True SS with about 40K that my brother in law was given. I'm trying to talk him into letting me rebuild it and then Split the profit with me like 60/40 or something like that. I will need a new frame to start, But the drive lines are all in tact and correct. not sure what kind of profit it would bring, but it would be fun to bring it back from the dead.

Geez, what do you think someone is going to pay to have that one restored?(assuming he doesn't do the 1000 hours himself) I think you could easily spend 80k restoring that mess.

I was just looking at the window sticker and it says something about export prep. Anybody seen anything like this before? What does that entail? That frame rust would scare me to death. Didn't look like a lot of floor pan left either.
