Putting together frame on 71 Elky and have dumb question of the day. I looked @ all my photos all my books and cannot find nor do I remember which way the four bolts hold on backing plates to rear end. Bolts mounting from inside to out or opposite. I said it was dumb question but need correct answer. Thanks Guys

From the outside in!
Bolt heads go against the backing plate. The nuts will be visible when the axle is all assembled.
