My rear window (69) has a slight leak at the bottom of the window. When I wash the car I always use my blowgun with the pressure turned down to about 8-10 p.s.i. to blow the water out from under the moulding and I see the water come through. Any one have any experience with the glass guys removing the window? Do they sometimes break them or do they get them out OK. I really don't like the leak and I want to get it to a good glas shop but I was curious if I am going to need to buy glass.

Most of our cars have rusted out there. Mine included.

While I broke the windshield getting it out, I had pretty good luck getting the back glass out without breaking. You will need to cut out rusted metal and weld in new metal before replacing the glass.

I recommend you treat that area with something that will NOT allow water to penetrate.

Some guys welded in brake line there to drain the water. I may still as well.
