I’ve decided to make the swap over. I’m just doing the research now and I’m noticing that there are 3 key players that offer the complete kits. Modern Driveline, Silver Sport Transmission and American Powertrain. I’m in the north east United States, so being close to any of the dealers is out of the question. Just looking for feedback if anyone here has done the swap and with whom.

Side note: I’ve also noticed that they offer complete rear ends as well, they all seem like one stop shop which avoids the headache of looking for that on my own.

You have Jody's transmissions in the NE, and he can supply all the items you might need, plus is a great support resource.

Talk to Jody. I bought an LGT 700 and a complete dual disc clutch/flywheel assembly from him. Great to do business with and he always responded to any questions I had.

Thanks for the plugs guys! The TKX will be a cost effective 5 speed install. The original TKX shifter can be used for the 1968-1972 Chevelle for a huge cost savings.
