A little something we are working on for SEMA.

This is a LS 408CI engine topped with Holley Dual Throttle Bodies. We should hit the dyno next week and expect about 600-620HP on this build, nothing tooooo crazy, but a great driver for a show car we are collaborating on. Took a bit of work to modify and get the linkage working...its NOT a bolt on deal by any means and I dont think its been done before with this setup.

LQ4 Iron Block
Manley Forged Internals
LS3 Heads
Holley Dual Throttle Body EFI System
Custom Hyd. Roller
LS7 Lifters

I just wonder what it was that caused chevrolet to use those silly looking valve covers. It wouldn't have cost too much had they squared up he corners. Perhaps in the big overall picture they saved some aluminum but dang they are pitiful looking. Otherwise the engine is well proven. Nice engine pictured for sure but the valve covers are lacking.:D

they did it to annoy people that like square valve covers..
i wish they would have made the valve cover rails a little taller so that it would be possible to make valve covers at home with a flat piece of aluminum and a hand held drill...

That looks cool. I like the Holley modular Tunnel Ram concept. That's going to be a heck of a lot of fun for someone!

The Holley EFI works great...so that will be a plus to the combo also. Tuning will take a few minutes and then off it goes!

I acutally dont mind the valve covers, but we will have a new set without the coil mount provisions as they will be relocated/hidden and it will make it look much better. Similar to the LS3 valve covers in the background.

This is our first test with the new Holley EFI so we are very happy to work with this system which we will be using for our new line of EFI LS Engines in 2014. I will post up the video/results when we get her finished up.

looks killer

i love the look of an lsx, everyone who doesnt must have been beat by a stock one.. haha.

i surely hope this makes 600+ more like 700hp..
doesnt take much to make 500rwhp with an ls2 and stock intake and stock untouched rect port heads..

Love the project, and I am interested to see the results, the holley intake has intrigued me. I especially like the looks for a street rod.

Any reason for using a Holley TB with the injectors over placing the injectors in the bungs on the intake runners?

Here we go! It was quite an effort to get this running as we are all WAY behind for this car build for SEMA and it took so long to get this system running. We had to rework the wiring as we had the wrong harness and a few other changes, but we got her ran today. We didnt have time to get her fully dialed in, but shes making 628HP / 562TQ and still pulling at 6700RPM :D

Because there is alot more to be learned on the system and we dont have the time the graph is off. This system picked up a minimum of 30HP+/20+TQ over a Quick Fuel 850CFM carb on a Victor intake.
