I have a 454 .060 over and I purchased an ARP ring compressor for 4.31". Is this the right size ring compressor because it seems like it is too big and it has a lip on it that should set inside the cylinder? Has anyone used these before?

Ozz,
According to the catalog, the step on the bottom is to clear o-rings in blocks, if so equipped. It is not a step meant to go into the cylinder.

I just recently used an ARP ring compressor. It worked flawlessly. I'll never use anything else.
