Bill Lessenberry recieved burns on 35% of his body this afternoon while attempting to release the pressure on his cooling system.

After receiving a Top Three in his class at the Mid America Chevelle Show in KC, he was within fifty miles of home when he stopped for fuel and to see about why his 68SS was running hot.

His wife Angee, phoned my wife from the ER at St. Vincents Medical Center in Morrilton, AR and informed us of his injuries. After he was stabilized they transported him via ambulance to Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock because they have the states only burn unit.

My understanding from speaking with his daughter this evening, is that he is doing as well as expected and will under go more extensive treatment in the morning.

I will attempt to keep everyone updated tomorrow as I recieve information, I will have to hand off the reporting to my wife Linda, because Tuesday I will be out of internet and cellular range for at least a week.

Please keep Bill in your prayers, although his burns are not life threatening they are extremely painful and will subject him to the possibility of infection. Les

Very sorry to hear this! I just met Bill a couple of weeks ago at the Street Nationals at the fair grounds. Les, keep me posted and let me know what I can do. I can definitely pray and will alert my church folks who will be glad to join in with me. I'm only a half-hour away, so let me know. I'll PM you my cell # and you can call or text any time.

Ouch. Prayers for him, if you're the praying type pray that he doesn't get any nasty hospital staph infection.

Bill, and Family,
My prayers go out to you for a quick and speedy recovery! I had a radiator hose blow off on me while under engine working on replacing fuel pump. The burn was from right hand to elbow, the bubble of skin was raised up about 3 inches off my hand, I know the pain. After quick repair of car drove my 4-speed car, was a pain shifting gears because the fluid under the bubble of skin rolled up and down my arm. Get Well Soon !!!!!
