There is an ad in the local paper for a '71 and '72 wagon. Both for short money. I'm wondering if I could flip one and get myself "back in the game" after I recently sold mine.

It would certainly be different, and maybe more practical for the wife and 3 kids.

Just looking for someone to whip me into a frenzy ;)

Are you kidding? wagons fetch good money!!!!!!!!
They used to be my #1 choice for sleepers, daily drivers and parts cars until stupid Hot Rod Mag publicly made them cool. I knew that 30 yrs ago. Yes grab them or I will!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes wagons are cool. ( Especially 71's )

Their coolness quotient ( or CQ )

is much greater than:
- All hardtops ( non SS models )
- El Caminos ( let the hate mail begin )
- SS clones

is slightly greater than:
- Restored SS models
- Beaumonts

is less than:
- Unrestored SS models
- Any Chevelle found in a barn with the original engine
- Any vehicle owned by Chuck Norris ( Dont agree? Well You tell him then ! )

Thanks for letting me clear this matter up.

Are wagons cool! What the... does howdy dowdy have wooden balls? do bears crap in the woods? does the sun rise in the east? of course they're cool. Maybe not as cool the 4 door sedan but they're up there.

I'd love to have ANY 2-dr S/W made!! Anyone of them!!!

Including the old 2-dr Sedan Deliveries too of old w/o the rear sideglass..

AND, imho, the old '64 and '65 2-dr. Chevelle S/W's rule!!!!

I saw a restified '65(??) 2-dr. S/W that was a gold color over at Super Chevy in Indy several years ago with a For Sale sign on it and I kick myself for not buying it.. Way cool car...

And fwiw, compared to a new car, it was priced reasonably to me...

My wife has made it clear that she doesn't like it. :( She say's it "very 'Brady Bunch'"

I think I'll try and take a look at them anyway. She may like them better in person. ;)

Parants had a '72 Greenbriar when I was a kid, so they are good in my book, and it was green.I talk about getting one for my wife alot, I would rather have a Chevelle wagon that a mini-van.She likes them to now that I showed her one in person:)

I don't like wagons. :(

Thats all my Dad ever had.
IMO, they are grocery getters of the 1st degree.

But, if you like it, what does it matter?
