Are these wheels correct for 1972 Chevelle? I used to think the chevelle and z 28 were the same but I have been told lately they are slightly different. True or No?

I think they are the same but different years for those wheels have a different size/shape hole for the valve stem. the camaro's used them from 70-81 so if you want "correct" for a 72 you need to make sure it has the right valve stem hole. Other than that i think they were the same for camaro and chevelle but im no expert either. the only reason i know about the different holes is because i sold a set recently and got schooled by a few people.

no that pic is from craigslist. i am not super pickey about being completely correct as far as little details just as long as they are the correct style wheel.

I agree. the only people that will ever know the difference are the diehard finatics about "correct" parts your average joe will never know. if i was looking for a set i'd say close enough and get em if it was a good deal. i can find better things to stress about then the shape of the valve stem hole IMO.
