I am aware of the standard colors published in most books and CD’s. With all the manufactures supplying pulley I thought. Ther might be different color combinations. I am redoing the engine on a low Milage car from AZ.
The two crank pulleys appear to be a gray phosphate. The water pump pulleys appear to be gray phosphate on the inside and black on the outside. PS and alternator pulleys appear to be black back side and front.

I have not heard of a WP pulley being two colors. Thanks

Here are some photo’s of pullers removed from my 66 SB Malibu. I think the guy that restored the car on 97 just power washed the engine bay with engine removed then sprayed everything black and I mean everything, wires and all. Then he sprayed all pulleys. I think they should be all gray phosphate? I one pulley I took of my SS and took down to bare metal, then removed that pulley when I added AC.

do you think these photos indicate gray phosphate? Thanks

I believe 66-67 stamped steel PS pump pulleys (not cast iron) were all painted black. As to the others, again they could be either way. You'll just have to make your best guess from what you can see on them.
