I am looking to snipe a set for my Gen V bbc, and I am aprehensive about getting the wrong size or something. I am going hydraulic roller.

Olds and Buick would occasionally send out a block that had one or more lifter holes bored oversize. Far as I know, Chevy did NOT pull stupid stunts like that.
