At car shows I have seen some nice looking leather steering wheel covers which fit very well. I am not talking about the vinyl perforated with string wrapped around it, but rather a nicely stiched smooth leather cover - almost looks factory.

Anyone do this to their wheel? Where do you get one? The only ones I have found have been for smaller diameter wheels which are much thicker than the very thin '68 wheel.

Try www.wheelskins.com Used their covers on various vehicles, and they fit well and feel better than plastic.

I also do mine. Here's a tip. Get some thin sheet foam to build up the circumference of the wheel. Put the leather cover over it and it will feel like a late model, leather wrapped wheel.
