There where more chevelles, I'm halfway thru day three on YouTube. Great stuff. And especially cool to see a car I know Doug! thumbs up. I'm tempted to bring my Chevelle and participate for fun, but I would have to get rich first. Was it a fun event?

Glad you made it Doug, I had a registration number, hotels reserved, not having the car done presented a problem. I even had a trailer, and a co-pilot.

Ran my car in street race small block power adder. Averaged [email protected] and finished 4th out of 26 cars. Was a tough class. Would have finished 1st along with about the top 7 small block cars if we were in the big block power adder class.

Was hot as heck, but had a blast.

Good job Doug. :beers:

I took my '65 and ran the Daily Driver class, it was like taking a knife to a gun fight, but I had a bunch of fun and enjoyed meeting everyone there.

I ended up 36th of 100 cars in the class, most ahead of me were Turbo, SC, or Nitrous assisted, not to mention the BB combos running the class.

Ran a 12.06 weekly average with a stock bore 350 with vortec heads and M20 muncie trans, nothing stellar compared to some of the others but had a blast doing it!

Can't get the Flicker image to come up so here is a link to a bunch of Drag Week Pics, I have the yellow '65 Chevelle.

Thanks Jim,
Since it's a stock M20 I was being very easy on it and for the most part bogging the motor off the launch. Would leave about 2800rpm, motor has plenty of power with trap speeds in the 116 range, on a good night locally it will go just over 118.

Need to either accept breaking it and update with stronger parts or be happy with it and continue to baby it.

It was a blast, anyone that likes to drive and race their car should do it!
