hey now, you know to get into PHR, you need to turn the camera all kinds of goofy angles, its like a pre-requisite for them! :p

car looks pretty good!

They are some good pics but Rambo is right. Lay on the ground, get a ladder and stand on it and take a pic from above. Try different angles with the camera. I entered last year I didn't win anything but I got to go to Chicago for the cover shot. Good luck though.

A couple of years ago. A team member here won this contest and got a nice full feature of his car. It was a red 71 or 72.

chris cyclone: LOVE the first few shots. GREAT job.
What camera etc.. did you use? settings?
It's a four year old Olympus Camedia D580 Zoom my dad got it for me when I was 14 and setting wise I didn't use anything special just it's portrait mode and a slow shutter on a couple of pictures, I tend to get really lucky with my pictures I am not 100 % sure they will be my final entry I have narrowed it down to 7 and those where the ones I liked

Chris, Though the second one is centered better, I think the angle and brightness of the first one is much better..

Chris, those are both great shots but to me I like the first one because of the detail you can see in the gravel on the road and the whole foreground in general just adds more interest to the shot. But maybe that's just me. A friend of mine was showing me a photo of a small crane (bird) he had taken sitting on a post in the water. The bird was great but you should have seen the detail on that post! You could see the grain in the wood, scars from being hit, water marks, etc. The post made the pic. In your first shot the gravel road adds tons of interest. Of course the lighting in that second one is really cool too the way it highlights the top of the hood and roof... tough call I like them both.
